Airzone
We have Airzone installed in our own homes, so we know the system from a homeowner’s point of view as well as from an installation perspective.
Airzone has become increasingly popular in recent years, particularly for larger homes, new builds and renovations. It allows individual rooms or zones to be controlled separately, rather than treating the whole house as one space.
Each zone can be controlled using sleek wall-mounted controls or through the Airzone app.
Why Airzone?
Comfort Control by Zone
Airzone works particularly well with ducted air conditioning, turning a traditional ducted system into a multi-zone system.
Each zone can be controlled independently, so different rooms can have their own temperature preferences based on their individual needs.

The system can then direct airflow to the areas that need heating or cooling, rather than treating the whole house as one zone providing personalised comfort.
Energy Optimisation
By controlling the airflow to individual zones, the system only needs to provide heating or cooling where it is required.
Airzone also includes energy-management features such as Eco-Adapt, which helps optimise how the system operates and avoid unnecessary energy use.
Depending on the system and how it is used, Airzone states that its zoning technology can provide average energy savings of up to 30%.
The Airzone app can also provide energy consumption information, allowing you to view usage by day, week, month or year.
A Discreet Finish
One of the things we particularly like about Airzone is how well it integrates into a home.
With a well-planned ducted system, the main equipment can be hidden away, leaving only discreet ceiling vents or grilles and sleek controls visible within each room.
Airzone can also integrate with smart-home systems such as Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
Control your system anytime, anywhere
With Airzone Cloud, you can control your air conditioning from your phone or tablet using the Airzone app, or through the web.
You can adjust temperatures, manage individual zones and create schedules or scenes to suit how you use your home.
This means you can make changes while you're at home or away, and have the system running when you need it.
Air Quality and Purification
Airzone can also be specified with additional air-quality monitoring and purification technology.
An AirQ Sensor continuously measures the variables that influence air quality such as detects the concentration of CO2, and harmful particles and use these to calculate the Indoor Air Quality Index.
It will automatically activate ventilation or purification using ionisation when required to ensure a cleaner and healthier indoor environment.
Our experience
We’re seeing an increasing demand for air conditioning to be properly integrated into the design of a home. Where possible, we welcome being involved early in the planning of a new build or renovation. This allows us to design the air conditioning and controls alongside the rest of the property, helping to achieve a solution that is effective, practical and as discreet as possible.
Airzone can also be installed retrospectively where suitable. Depending on the installation, this can include battery-operated wall controls where running new wiring isn't practical.
